My career at Chase lasted 4 years, my husband of a year was diagnosed with Leukemia, I took family leave to be with him as he died, my reward was to be terminated by Chase, losing his insurance coverage, my 401k, stocks, and JOB! Thanks a lot.....I filed bankruptcy 2 years after they wouldn't rehire me. I was the top producer of 4 units before I was fired...great job, sorry company.Ju

I was in a similar situation as you were. I was laid off in less than one week after returning from maternity leave. My job was taken by an Indian directly flew to the team from Bangalore. The whole team is 85% Indians. They speak their dialect in team meetings and chat about their sports and culture, which other people cannot chime in. JP morgan claims to be supportive of balance between life and work and has good maternity leave policy. But in practice they do not like people work from home or take maternity leave. It is passed down verbally, not written from managements to down that people are advised not to work from home or take full maternity leave. Otherwise they lose jobs. I am the one who take 16-week maternity leave and got laid off.
