Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Fire the executive lineup

Now we have more than 20 years of persistent cost reduction, a crazy focus on operational-performance improvements, and continued declining free cash flow.

Meanwhile, all the moves to turn us into a tech company.

So, the company is being destroyed and the strategy to survive is not working.

Who pays for this (aside from you and me as we are faced with stagnant wages and layoffs).

Why no executive has been fired?

Sounds like more expensive execs are going to be retiring as part of the cost savings initiative. It would not take much effort to name 2 or 3 that could leave the business with absolutely no impact.

It would be so nice if the pitches from the Union losers went back to avoiding work and wasting time, instead of clogging this site with their propaganda. At some point the wireline business will have a new owner and union loads can go ruin someone else’s business.

Because the Executive Leadership is some of the most brilliant talent of any company on the NYSE.
