Hearing that this year we again have quite a good raise and promo budgets - like we had last year, when quite a lot of people got promoted.
Expect some good news in October / November time.

Raises and promotions for those that survive the LR. The LR package is often better than getting a raise.

Don't set your expectation too high. With the ramping nepotism in Cisco, if you are not in the inner circle of your VP and his villiagists, don't expect you will get anything. In fact, many worker bees around believe what they will receive is the silent LR. One doesn't need to listen to the earning report to know the result is bad. There is no surprise to go to a customer meeting and learn the product quality is bad. By seeing how the business is conducted and who are running the business in the BU, those who are in the end of the food chain know that their fate is sealed and they are doomed.
