Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

180 laid off in home-based care

It seems that this wave was 180 people, according to an Insider Louisville article. Something stood out for me, though.

“In some cases, these associates may be eligible for new roles within Humana,” she said. “In Kentucky, we currently have more than 700 open positions. Nationally, we have nearly 2,000 open positions.”

Has anybody who was laid off actually been offered any of these positions, or been told of the possibility to transfer?

First round in February was hah and there is an article to support it via the Cincinnati enquirer. 500 first round from hah https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cincinnati.com/amp/97662462

There's was a separate layoff not affiliated with the first hah the covered pharm, finance, and claims in Green Bay.

Either way, now approximately 880 let go from this department alone... I hope everyone affected is able find something better and happier, and those of us working in fear can find comfort elsewhere soon!

The first round was not just hah, it was pharmacy, as well as combining some offices that overlapped

Another 180? The first round the news indicated 500 were let go. Second round 200. Now 180? HAH has way more problems than they are letting on

Should read there are 535 internal openings and 512 external openings

The point is that is nowhere close to 2000.

2000 open jobs...idk where that number came from or where to find those unless there are multiple positions for the same posting. Humana.com external is showing internal 535 requisitions. That's an average of 3-4 jobs per post. That seems unrealistic to me so if there are other jobs that are not posted under Humana careers please clue us in where to look.

Not 2000 layoffs. There are 2000 open positions across the board in all other areas. You still have to apply and qualify for them. For your own sakes, you have to wrap your mind around the fact that there was no return on investment for some of the HAH workstreams. It's all about finance and there was little to no measurable savings on calls being made to some of the less complex members. That's is the reality.

You have to apply like a new person off the street. There are no transfers in this process unfortunately. Wish there were.
