Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Leave AT&T

Not sure if you still have enough time, but use the tuition reimbursement. Get your degree. And get out of that soul s---ing company. The company s---s. CWA is useless (unions in general are NOT needed). You entitled a-holes need to realize what life is and participate, not assume you deserve to stay in a job you aren't good at. AT they don't like COR stores anymore. COR served its purpose. Hurry. Get smart. Educated on the company's dollar. And get the hell outta there before it's too late.

Walmart is a parasite on our society. They intentionally keep everyone part time so people's income is so low they qualify for government assistance, otherwise they would not be paid enough to live.

They close stores rather than allow unions in, to avoid ever paying more than starvation wages.

They wave the flag to look good but most of what they sell is Chinese made crap.

Today AT&T does not offer pension to new employees, I say people are not sticking to see what the union would do for them, no doubt !

Union folks like the union to keep them employed, I can' t blame them, but the ruse works only for high seniority, in few years from now the most senior employees will retire, and unions will belong no in a museum

Agree with @P1oBP3E-akf...be careful using the tuition reimbursement and read the fine print or you may be shocked when ATT takes the money back out of your last paycheck.

Apple/Amazon/WalMart/Bank of America/Wells Fargo/Berkshire Hathaway/Exxon Mobile/CVS Health--I could list 20 more. They are all very successful companies, people are beating down the doors to work for them, and they are not unionized. Only 9.7% of American workers are in unions. Don't blame me for the facts.

You can't leave for 2 years or you need to pay it back if you use tuition reimbursement unless you get fired.

50% repayment after 1 year

Very intelligent post. Unions are not needed? So I assume the Company has your best interest in mind as they throw thousands of employees to the curb and cut benifits as quickly as possible? News flash, the Union is the only thing that stops or slows them from doing this. Take a look at some non-union jobs in a similar industry, say CATV. They have things much worse. Feel free to go look for a job there. Hoping you are just trolling the thread and genuinely not that stupid.
