If you were laid off, in addition to your severance package was your non-compete exercised?

Mine was exercised
Non-competes in Oregon are actually pretty enforceable. I have seen several peers from Nike/adidas have theirs enforced and have talked to lawyers about them. Some other states it might be easier to void, but not Oregon from what I've seen.
Fake news re: it being unenforceable. It depends on the state. CA it's largely not, most other states it is.
That said, why wouldn't one want a full year's salary + severance? Sounds like a good deal to me.
Unenforceable
I know 2 directors who did have it exercised.
I know of some people that have not had the non compete exercised upon termination
I went out in the June 15 round, and non-competes were not exercised as part of the severance.
If it was exercised you get paid 100% of your salary for a year on top of your severance, which is why i asked.
I'm pretty sure the people I know that were laid off back in '09 had a noncompete they had to honor.
