Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Many more changes are happening at Humana

There are a lot of changes happening that are not being discussed. There will be another reduction in force as programs end and guidelines change. Does anyone have information on what is happening with the Demo programs with Humana at Home? There will also be a process change for care managers in their requirement to send HW material to member via Cgx. It will be done in a similar fashion like ICTs are generated to send to the doctors. Leadership will always look for ways to save money, that is just business. This industry is undergoing tremendous change and will continue to do so. Do not believe that even as great as a worker you may be that you are safe from RIF (reduction in force). If you are not happy, I would suggest you look soon before another RIF. Just a heads up...in several applications I have filled out there is a place to answer a question if you have ever been laid off, fired or involuntarily separated from a job within the last five years...if you need to answer 'yes,' this does not look good to the hiring manager (I was advised of this). I know severance is a huge issue, but if you are worried about a RIF you should have your ducks in a row before receiving that separation letter.

Got this from @OTiA3Io-5fyw, posted it in a thread for good info and advice.

You are correct, poster who wrote this, and it is a very good point. I took a "job hunting" course in between jobs once, and they stressed that you are always more appealing to a potential employer while still employed than you are after a layoff. The "I'm staying to get my severance" mindset can backfire in the long run.

I am a PHC - somehow still here - but my off time is dedicated to getting out resumes. I'm not going to wait and see, the writing on the wall is no longer a question at this point.

There are two demo programs in Chicago. ICP and MMP/Duals. The ICP program is going away in December but then MMP is going to grow some. All in all about 2000 members lost but MMP not going away.
