Thank you to the lady who pressured the leaders of the lay off meeting on the process used to choose who is laid off. You were relentless and it was incredible. Even thought they gave you the same crap answers they've been giving us for months, you kept pushing. Thank you for being brave.

I don't think it's flexibility or positivity! I was on the Superuser team of PHCs that transitioned from HCCP to Stay Healthy and I did projects as an HCM for SNP, an RS for Stay Healthy, mDAT support for Stay Healthy, etc. Never once complained and was always supportive. So that's not it. If your coach didn't like you, that didn't help. That'sall I will say.
And don't forget...there are many states that are "right to work." They can let you go at any time and don't even have to provide you a reason by law.
Of course there is a strategy involved in the layoffs. They didnt admit to anything most of us didnt already know! They don't go eeny meeny miney moe to select. As a former hiring manager, I know so much more goes into these selections! Productivity isn't the determining factor and neither is family health history as HR never wants a lawsuit. Often times someone with slightly lower numbers has more to offer the company. How willing they are to adapt to changes or how easily they adapt is key. What other areas of expertise do they offer the team? Are they complainers or do they offer viable solutions when they see a problem? If there are future layoffs, you can be assured that those left have been ranked already.
Hope it turns out okay for her.
Let's keep her privacy and stay out of dragging her personal info here. I'm sure she has enough on her plate already.
Hmmmm....wonder if that's in the formula that was looked at....high insurance costs for people
Honestly it sounds like they let her go because her husband just got Cancer and they don't want to pay the bill! It's awful, but they are all about the bottom line. Those fat cats at the top make more money than God and decided they needed to squeeze more out of us when the merger didn't happen.
This is what is wrong with America, losers like this control the entire economy. They don't give a damn about the little guy, not even their customers who are little more than commoditized units of Medicare milking potential they'll even maximize with constant robocalls. Pathetic really. The whole lot that runs the show should be locked up for Medicare fraud.
I think the poster meant they admitted there was a strategy behind who was chosen to leave. As in it was not random selections like we are supposed to believe. Which, I think most people knew. But this chic. She got them to admit there was a strategy at least. That was all. It was Director J and some HR female. And chic was not having it when they started with the normal poo answers.
A strategy behind the layoffs?
It was great she forced them to say yes there is a strategy but we're not telling you
What did she say?
Can someone summarize for us who were not there.
Thank you!
What happened? I was not at the meeting (on purpose)...
Kudos to her! We are adults and the circle talking they do is a disrespect to our intelligence
She pressed them until they outright refused her and deferred to HR. I'd say that was a win. And to the first woman to speak out, who I have known for many years. Wow. I feel for you. If you did not evoke some remorse and unrest in them then nobody could. I hope your words haunt them for many years.
