Well said previous poster! All the Chicken Littles and the "I Hate Humana" people need to get off this site. It's called the layoff, not the b!$&@ about how much I hate my job and Humana site. GO AWAY

Scroll past venting if you don't like it. It won't kill you to allow others to express themselves, the same way you are expressing yourself. People are handling this recent news in different ways - that's okay. This site has been very active since the news and likely a large part of that is associates needing to express frustrations and fears. You can delays scroll past the the "info" part. Being told major layoffs are coming and reacting to it doesn't make someone a chicken little, it makes them human. If their specific reaction is not your cup of tea, no worries, keep scrolling.

There is venting then there is unproductive complaining about everything! Big difference. Some seem to hate everything about Humana but complain the most about losing their job. The complaints wont change your job or the way the Company is run. Its a psychological fact that those who constantly complain are very unhappy, angst ridden people.

I come here for the info not a constant rant. It overshadows the good info, insight from those previously impacted and advanced notice. I truly appreciate all the non-complaining helpful info.

They gave us warning solely because they knew there were a million rumors circling around. They could not say they are transparent while ignoring the elephant in the room. They simply met with us to confirm the rumors. I don't think there is any sinister plot involved to do away with the entire PHC program. Could the role go away, sure, but so could any job. There is no stability any more.

Stop being so melodramatic and reading further into things than need be. If you hate your job or you are worried about losing your job, then start looking for a new one. If you hate your job so much, please quit and give those of us who don't hate it, more of a chance to stay! Sadly, it will be those of you who complain nonstop who get to keep your job, while the rest of us who shut up and work our butts off will get the ax.

I don't like not knowing if I am going to lose my job, but this whole Chicken Little routine just causes mass hysteria.

I think this round will be to tell us program is done or so different that the under 600 phc that are left are no more or wont be needed by end of year... So when the big news come they can sleep at night cause they gave us warning

Why did they give us advanced warning last Friday anyway? There was no warning with the last two layoffs. What is the purpose of creating this firestorm of anxiety for everyone?

To the managers, im a PHC and I truly believe you all are not aware until hours before. I understand you all are just as stressed as we are. I just have one question? Do you all complete surveys on your team and send the results on for upper leadership to make decisions about who they select for layoffs. I understand and respect you if you don't feel comfortable answering the question. Thanks in advance for your honesty and insight.

I haven't heard anything about SNP. Although they have their own issues (not the HCMs just the ever changing strategy). I have no clue how many. Most of us are kept in the dark. I wish I did to put you at ease. I was told 100,000 members will be discharged (I believe that was the number). I am not a phc coach so I do not know your caseload sizes. I am a coach for another tele program. Sorry. I too am just waiting for that email. I do not feel secure at all.

Coach 22, is there any indication on how many PHCs and CHEs will be let go? When the warning came out last week, those warning told us 90-95% of PHCs were being laid off. Then someone said their Com said 50% in their meeting. How big is this layoff predicted to be?

I'm a coach and my guess is soon. That way the 60 days are up before 4th quarter. Just like with the last two. Only coaches/managers who were impacted or had associates under them impacted were notified the night before. So when that happens I'm sure it will be on here. Sorry I don't have more info. I'd share if I did.

I think we mean upper management. There must be someone somewhere planning this.? I mean we've had suspicions about a sentient magic 8 ball or a group of drunken monkeys, but probably there are human beings somewhere up the totem pole who are in charge of executing this.
