@ete. Exactly. There is nothing to celebrate about the XMM7480, the shipment is as expected. People are concerned about the long term iCDG future, the lack of customer and that Apple may dump Intel once they figure out how to build their own modem and integrate with their A series processor.
Nobody ever doubted that Intel will ship XMM7480 as expected. It's XMM7560 that is half a year behind schedule.
If the order is only 8m for a product launch then Intel is effectively out of the iPhone. OP can you confirm this?
