Once that amazon building is up and running the corporate communication will come out that follett will utilize fulfillment by amazon so they dont incur any warehouse cost and essentially close down aurora.

No worries though, im sure a small financial incentive will be given to those that stick around to ship all the highly valued books to amazon.

Requires a long term plan. Years ago the long term plan was to shut down Woodridge and move the workload to ADC. The Follett primary data center was in Woodridge and that was one of the main driving factors for moving the data center to a co-lo. If you think renting a co-lo space is cheaper...think again...but it did make sense if Woodridge was to close. Fast forward 5 years later and the plan to close Woodrdige was never done yet the data center was moved and Follett incurred increased costs. Now the discussion is closing ADC and utilize BT warehousing. All of these plans are all feasible when you have people who can actually execute them and follow thru. Unfortunately for Follett, the C level has effectively reduced and run out the talent it requires to make these changes. Not to solely put all blame at the C level, Follett has also enjoyed several C level leadership changes because it appears Follett's board isn't very successful at vetting proper candidates. The rot starts all the way at the top.

I wouldn't hold my breath!
