Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Nothing to sell

We cancel orders all the time because we dont have the merchandise. We have called around to stores within 50 miles of our store and they dont have it either. This seems to happen more and more not just with mattresses but even tools, bedding, appliances and other stuff. Even the web site has not eligible for store pick up or delivery on many items. Sounds like vendors not getting paid.

We also are getting in some weird brands of things.

Same thing here. I am turning customers away left and right. People are actually coming into the store, but more often than not, we no longer have what they are looking for. It's like they are trying to tank Sears intentionally. (Which, to be honest, is probably exactly what is going on.)

At our sears store in michigan as soon as the other store closing was announced we were directed to sent ALOT of our product to their store. Not old vom , current new product its obvious they are liquidating from within no question... its soon to be over you better have an exit plan right now , there's no promises your getting amy severance. Just look at sears Canada

I wonder where the inventory for Amazon is coming from since the stores can't get any inventory?

That post was poorly written but I think the person who wrote it was saying their store is closing and they are getting full trucks. Makes sense since foolish consumers will buy anything with a markdown sign at a store-closing event.

You should talk to the stores that are getting full trucks. Apparently, they exist.
