Accelerating mobile volumes and shrinking x86 volumes will cause an inversion in fab investments as the foundries will surpass Intel in volume and performance due to the sheer amounts of mobile dollars involved.

AMD and Nvidia and QCOM, all fabless, will benefit from this and for the first time, compete with Intel with a process lead.

AMD and QCOM will put long term pressure on Intel margins for the next several years while the total pie shrinks as more people shift their compute needs from dinosaur PCs to mobile devices.
