We stopped focusing on our business and solving real business issues. Everyone is working on various CFO initiatives - path to this, path to that...We already had many unnecessary, low value add meetings and reportings, the new CFO have multiplied the low value added workload and review meetings. Why doesn't finance focus on putting transparent, consistent financial discipline in place and let the company work on what is needed - create competitive, leading products. While everyone is cutting expenses, we are spending millions for olympics. I heard 400 million...How about managing financial discipline consistently across the company and holding everyone to the same accountability standards.
This year turned out to be worse than last year. I don't know how it happened after last year's torturous ACT. But things are out of control. now we have to deal with the new CFO who thinks he can solve intel's issues with his path to 30 and path to 300 initiatives. I tell you what. He was CFO of eBay. He and others managed to make eBay completely irrelevant. Where is eBay now? When is the last time you bought anything from eBay? If you are irrelevant, uncompetitive who cares about your paths to this paths to that. path to irrelevancy. He is really destroying the morale. What a great CFO choice.
He should listen, learn. Intel's issues are wide and deep, starting from the Boatd and the CEO goes all the way down to admins etc and it is across the board - low quality, talentless and low output employees with bad attitudes. I am sorry but it is true. Just read this board. only the highly political, sharp elbowed people have survived at Intel.
