Fmla is up to 12 weeks, correct? So after that Verizon can fire me if I'm still on leave? Just curious.
Meaning they won't guarantee that I have a position. Or will they just tell me not to come back.

Fmla is not paid. You can use STD to get paid and that is prob met life. Fmla is only an act that protects your employmeny if out on qualified leave. So if you take Fmla to take care of someone else, it is not paid. Why do you think womanly women use STD when out for babies?
Not sure why the one person said "No pay". You do get paid when you go on leave. You hvw to file a claim with METLIFE and then METLIFE COMMUNICATES to VZW payroll.
Everyone's FMLA is different based on doctor and what you are applying for. You're an idiot.
No pay during the 12 weeks and they can't fire you. After FMLA protection period is over, then you go back to the same lovely world of uncertainty about continued employment.
Such a cute reply. Is that all you got ?
@1rzn - As long as the put my face next to Lowell's and yours, I will be in good company. I'm applying for FMLA tomorrow. I'll see you in 12 weeks .....
You sound like one of many thousands who have milked the clock over the years. You should stick around . You will be one of the "Got EM" GUYS! They have a hall of shame and your face can adorn one of the walls .
You may get offered a new position ...over 500 miles away and if you dont take it, it will be taken as a resignation
