Fmla is up to 12 weeks, correct? So after that Verizon can fire me if I'm still on leave? Just curious.
Meaning they won't guarantee that I have a position. Or will they just tell me not to come back.

Fmla is not paid. You can use STD to get paid and that is prob met life. Fmla is only an act that protects your employmeny if out on qualified leave. So if you take Fmla to take care of someone else, it is not paid. Why do you think womanly women use STD when out for babies?
Not sure why the one person said "No pay". You do get paid when you go on leave. You hvw to file a claim with METLIFE and then METLIFE COMMUNICATES to VZW payroll.
Everyone's FMLA is different based on doctor and what you are applying for. You're an idiot.
No pay during the 12 weeks and they can't fire you. After FMLA protection period is over, then you go back to the same lovely world of uncertainty about continued employment.
