So glad I left when I did!! I was one of those that started with a smaller numbers and then given bigger and bigger numbers each quarter. Luckily for me I booked some great sells where they couldn't let me go.
But I had my suspicions about phone activity was an excuse for them to let me go. I improved in that area and then suddenly they are checking when I go to lunch and when I get back. One day my manager showed his cards in front of the team and made the comment "I see your a few minutes late from lunch". It was very gratifying seeing his face in front of the team when I looked at the time and responded with "well I'm actually 15 minutes early from lunch." I'm not the brown nosing type at all and that's the only way Dell operates. I always knew I was in the doghouse but F them, I was hired to take care of the customers not kids a$$!!
Long story short, they explored every angle to find away to fire me. But when I actually had a customer with a real issue which required me to ask for help my manager would ask me to "send a calendar invite for a one on one" either that afternoon or the next day late in the afternoon, past my customers deadline. Which was unacceptable to me, I have too much integrity to put up with that for any amount of money. So I left Dell after making back to back awesome commissions which paid me 2 months after I left. I repainted my truck, bought some rims, and got 2-3 months ahead of my bills and screamed "Go Spurs Go" on my way out in OKC.
