Rumor unsubstantiated: employees will receive a 10% cut in salary, contractors another 10%. Anyone have any info on if this is real or just rumor?

May not lower salaries per say, but the bonuses are going to be structured different. If you are not part of the succession plan you're a nobody. Get ready
Wont happen.
Heard that Spectra employees were paid higher on average compared to Enbridge. Not sure if that's true. Curious how much change will be reflected in the new HR policies that will be rolled out in September.
No salary adjustments for 2017 is what's been said... A compensation alignment of legacy Spectra and legacy Enbridge is in the works. If the rumour is true the roll back will be in effect next year.
Engineers will be excluded.
They were pretty clear that no salary adjustments were coming. I'd call this rumour "unlikely".
It will be $ scaled. So higher % cuts to lower salary grade employees to ensure everyone provides the same amount of savings to the bottom line.
obviously there will be salary cuts. and yes its 10-15. us managers to supervisors were told october would be the new rollout.
I was told by some of the people that were demoted last Oct that their salary was frozen at the current level for a year. So that would fit with a reduction this fall.
Lots of contractors are disappearing
Probably cut bonus and benefits esp defined benefit pension.
I haven't heard that one until now. Doubt that will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few more layoffs in September.
