Citrix is now in a mode of "righteously" letting people go according to what they deem their "values" or any employee that resists what they deem "values".
Their values have a strong recourse to anyone that thinks that profit should not be the main business motivator and anyone that speaks against this is reprimanded by HR. Citrix has always said that your career and growth is important to them, however growth and career hasn't been important for years.
When brought to HR, it went straight to management with no anonymity and employees were let go due to this unhappiness. Citrix is undergoing a large change right now that involves charging customers more for services and trying to move to a cloud model that traps them into buying perpetual services.
They used to be a technology company that gave great features to customers, but it is now a marketing company (as it probably always was), that is relying on sales and numbers to make the shareholders happy. This company will fail. It is inevitable. The new board and the rapid replacements of CEOs shows that it does not care about the patrons of the technology, but rather the numbers that are produced and the revenue it gains on the stock market.
There is so much competition on the market that actually cares about advancement, and this will show when the shareholders pull out at the last minute when they have the greatest value. After that, Citrix will fall and the employees will suffer the most. This company has not been the same since the first reorganization 3 years ago.
Unfortunately, they put the wrong people in charge which are only MBAs and number people to fluff what the business is actually doing. Actual customer satisfaction is at the lowest in history, and you can only manipulate numbers so long to lie to people.
