European Union just announced that a new free trade agreement with Japan will be signed in autumn.
The same with India, where Germany will have the highest profit.
Even more. What protectionism will cause is visible in GB. The biggest car producer there is BMW. Companies in GB produce engines, while cars are assembled in Germany. After Brexit these engines will contribute more than 25% to the car value. Means: less engines must be produced in EU due to customs. That is no problem, because in any case less traditional engines will be produced in future as all want electric drives. Where to stop production first? :-)
Customs against EU will induce customs against american agriculture products, here: Bourbon.
