Has that awful CIO lost his job yet? Just curious. In any other company on the planet - he would have been toast. But at Follett, apparently not. Not because Retalon failed, not because CT web failed, not because ORPOS failed, not because he destroyed morale in his team, not because he made bad deals with offshore companies where he hails from, not because he pressured vendors to comp him expensive toys....no not at Follett. What gives?

Hahaha on point
While I wish him the best I have to admit I can't think of anything positive he did for us.
He is off to wreak havoc at Bed Bath and Beyond.
US citizens must feel blessed be happy, you are are not born in india,
There is a harsh fact on the dark side of Indian IT sector sweatshops, who have steady supply of fresher college grads who are ready to work for pittance.
There is massive drive in Indian IT sector to layoff experienced IT professionals(with over 8 years exp) through forced resignation, to subvert careers of laid off seniors an prevent them from getting jobs after re-skilling - 6-8 exp limit being imposed for lateral hires by nasscom India affiliated companies.(TCS, infosys, techm HCL, wipro etc) over 75000 professionals fired in the last one year.
After Trumps action on H1 B These firms are planning to hire in USA locally, be careful as these firms have diabolic plans to limit individuals freedom and right to livelihood.
If I knew this was going to happen, I wouldn't have taken this job in Florida!.
Hoping this news brings better times to all of you survivors. I am happy for you and hopeful that his replacement will be courageous, lead with consistent and true integrity, and lift you up. Its never too late for hope.
I want Retalon to come back and give it another whirl!
About time.
Wow, says a lot about RG. Thanking SS for doing nothing except ruining the careers of many employees, leading many failed projects and literally wasting millions of dollars. His legacy is ORPOS, Retalon, CT Web. Could the leaders really be so far from the reality of someones actual contributions?
From: RG, President & CEO
Chief Information Officer SS has decided to leave the company to pursue another opportunity. His last day is tomorrow, September 1. Since joining Follett in 2013, S has helped transform IT to better align the organization with the needs of our businesses. I want to thank S for his contributions to Follett and wish him all the best for the future.
He gone!...2 years to late for the damage he has done to IT.
How come I wasn't asked to look elsewhere and continue to look for a job on the company dime. I showed up for work and escorted out the door. W E A K L E A D E R S H I P
He was terminated folks. He was given notice to look elsewhere. Follett decision to remove him. So at that moment he has been looking. His record is tainted so he may have a tough time or just start a consulting firm
There are a couple of IT people that were forced out that they should try to bring back. It would make it quicker for us to fix the damage caused by SS and team.
MLS and RG were complicit in every decision made by IT.
He's gone?
Elvis has left the building
He does a horrible job and gets to hang out for years laying good people off and get rich in the process.
It's been an open secret that he's been looking for a new position for some time.
The IT emporer has no clothes, his dogs won't hunt or herd any cats. Move along, there's nothing to see here.
Rumor is he is on way out. Too late will take years to undo the damage.
He is still here.
