Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

A company with bright prospects doesn't see this kind of attrition

Silent layoffs, ACT, billions spent late on new initiatives. All profits still coming from no growth monopoly that has had the walled garden get overun. What part if Intel business is positioned to survive, forget thrive for more than another few years?

If all is well and with bright prospects no smart senior leader wouldn't want to ride that new success wave, they are an ambitious and greedy lot they'd so ride the next winning wave and collect their tens of million and more. Why would so many senior leaders leave, they know what the future holds!

You got a plan?

The Mfg Council was all political, from all angles. No direct correlation to Intel's deep-seated problems.

And Krzanich quitting the mfg council with a very lame excuse indicates he does not want to be exposed as the sham he really is!

@20td - BK/MR had the right idea but completely and utterly messed up its execution, to the detriment of every single group it touched. They addressed the numbers problem, but did not begin to address strategy or efficiency - in fact, they doubled the number of issues they already had.

That's why so many people stick around this forum - the deep-seated issues will take Intel down - maybe not now or next year, but without a doubt in the long run. Many of us are/were vocal about things we encounter(ed), but it did no good because next level of mgmt wasn't willing to fight for reality.

This train wreck has many seasons and episodes ahead. Settle in, folks, and stock up on popcorn.

BK and MR had/have the right idea, but the job and cost cutting did not go deep enough and then, after laying off 12k employees, they did not complete the mission which required proper rebuilding, retraining and transforming of the culture. It's crystal clear that layoffs are the right thing to do. Hopefully, they have a better execution plan this time.

This -> @1zlm. BK is a sociopathic compulsive liar. I'm glad more people realize the truth about that loser.

Who would want to work for a backstabbing creep like Krzanich?

@1acv - Sorry to break it to you, but BK and MR ARE the disease, not the cure. These 2 are just competing to figure out who can fck up Intel the fastest.
