Can one imagine a leader from sales organisation proclaiming himself as CTO of a geography? That too when one has more than 35000 employees in that geography who are part of core product development. This is there in India, Sales SC leader had taken title of CTO India. Oracle it seems has no techie... And it shows that any Tom-D--k can become CTO. TK should die in shame so should great American owner called LE.

SC leader has self proclaimed himself as CTO. Oracle worldwide does not recognise him as CTO. Irony is that no one wants to break this to SC leader. Tomorrow he will say he is President of USA. Will he be...... Lol

All the top-level management is interchangeable. They know nothing. It doesn't matter what title they have. The only technical skill needed is the ability to deposit money in their bank accounts.
We are developing talent. In a year, he'll have so much experience running India that we can appoint him to run something even bigger. At that point he'll have both sales and CTO experience.
Is he the VP of Sales or only heading Sales Engineering (Sales Consulting)? If it's the latter, I think it kind of makes sense . Chief Solutions Officer probably would be more apt.
Oracle has gone to dogs. What does this sales leader smoke? He must be nuts to do that when world knows that Oracle has just one CTO - LE. Looks like this sales leader would soon get a pink slip.
