Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Removed posting! (Why?)

On the matter of too many Indians:-

Indians & other foreigners with outstanding ability are welcome, in small numbers. That is the intention of the H1B program. But, today, the moneyed elites have no allegiance to this country, or its founding stock, hence the H1B binge. The issue is not Indians per se. It is the loss of our culture, & way of doing things. Every people has a country, & this one is ours. We do not want to be a minority in our own country. The number of Indians has gotten so large, they have created their own ecosystem, & have changed how we do things. It took many fewer of us to create the greatest technological civilization. But, look at Intel today! We know that hiring & promotions have become preferential to non-Americans. Just look at groups where Indians have many managers. Most importantly, we want our culture back. It is a natural right for every human being to want to be comfortable in their domain.

Meritocracy is dead and besides mostly incompetent URMs through uncontrolled H1B, aside from few competent and good ones, Indians have become problem due to combination of tribal culture that they bring which results in squeezing out others. In Intel it is close to irreversible point from which it becomes like Indian government, with few differences that there would be few yellow Asians and very few white women left.

How to deal with this as HR is blind and incapable and management is complicit or non confrontational, while tribes like Indian exploit this playing the system.

"Cisco Chairman John Chambers on Wednesday said firms taking Indians to the US for cost arbitrage displacing American workers was a "mistake"........We have to be careful not to misstep. You cannot go in and take a whole bunch of H1-B visas and displace 500 American workers because you can do it at lower costs. That was just a mistake. I think we have to focus on investment," Chambers told reporters.....

this site is to discuss the layoff and site closure... and not about the race...

I am European and supports the chines+indians....every human being have rights of earth..

hundreds of year back, we European kills the aboriginal and occupied their land. we developed the australia, america, canada....from last 10-20 years the asians have also started exploring the world and contributing their best to make world better.

due to unavailability of skilled worker and ignorance of the local people, company need to take decision.....H1B is option to compete and develop on time.

instead of complaining, i have started improving myself....

this earth belongs to all of us..

Your post is OK, clean and expresses an opionion. It is the slew of comments to follow that will get it removed as it will inspire an endless back and forth of low quality and "against the site rules" comments. While the OP is caredul to chose words while crafting a long post, trolls will roll in with xyz s---s, expell abc, etc - put yourself in admin's shoes - there are 100s of companies here and each of them has two or three groups that do not like each other.

It is much easier to delete anything that may be inviting a heated discussion than to try to moderate threads (they would need dozens of people here and youd rely on mod's judgement about things being kosher or not - this would be a lose-lose scenario for layoffs.com and I am certain this is why they nuke every single thing that may snowball into a heated discussion)

I expressed my opinion awhile back; post was removed "Johny-on-the spot". Interesting though, when I checked back a few times, my post was of course deleted but it still counted as a phantom relay. Best to ALL. Please remember to vote.
