_Just in time for the back-to-school shopping season, Intel is providing more detail about its new line of processors. The company’s eighth generation chips, nicknamed “Kaby Lake,” will power upcoming laptops launching this year and next.

The wheels fell of tick tock at intel. It was a brilliant and powerful strategy but BK failed. It was going to be another tick tock tick tock but total FUBAR by LTD in not delivering Canonlake and Icelake. As a result of the failure of 10nm the product and marketing teams had to invent two new products on 14nm. Basically respins of Skylake with a few more cores and bells and whistles and viola great seventh and eight generations marketing B$ to cover LTD failure.

Gimme a MacBook Pro and I am good for next 7 years

But intel is not unique or alone in the marketing/publicly stunt. This kind of BS takes place in every industry and consumers have been falling for it for years. Intel isn't doing anything wrong or misleading, they are merely playing the game.
