If they are cruel enough to schedule layoff meetings on Monday which will you pick? Team Eclipse - Meh, I will still be laid off after the eclipse is over. How much are you really going to soak in after you hear you are getting the boot anyway.

I was in the 1st round of layoffs in February. ..HCC in SNP...we didn't get any time off when we found out!! Had to work the whole day we were told we were being let go...they finally let us go in March early. It seems there are no set rules. Good luck to everyone. I hope u find jobs quickly, it is very stressful, but you will get through it!
Agreed...not likely to be Monday. In February, my teammates were notified on Wednesday morning and took the rest of the day off. They were back to work on Thursday and Friday, though, and the following week. It was awkward. In April, they were notified on Thursday morning and were allowed to take the rest of the day and Friday, then finish the following week. Re: the eclipse... I think I'll take some of my rarely used well-being time to view what I can. My team has always been discouraged from using our well-being time at the beginning of the week because our coach would prefer that we meet our numbers for the week first and use the time on Friday. That almost never happens for me, so this week I will use my time when I choose to do so!
I agree Monday is not the day.
That makes makes zero sense! Plus they never do it on a Monday. They choose Thursday because less people are on PTO then Friday. They realize no one who is impacted will be able to concentrate at work so they have you take 1/2 day of PTO after and a paid day off on Friday.
