On the heels of Glendale losing its Engineering Director 2 weeks ago, the Space facility is cutting its 4 senior tech managers down to 1. 1 just moved to the Deer Valley facility. The second will also leave to Deer Valley after this round of layoffs. In the end, there will be only 1. An aggressive consolidation of managers will also take place: only half will survive.

Unfortunately this post was accurate: Glendale's 2nd Sr. Tech Manager announced his departure. 2 down with 1 to go?? Only half of managers will survive?? I hope you are wrong! This is very sad.
How many volunteers will be refused this time? Is Honeywell just hoping they just get fed up and leave, saving any severance costs?
Even if a co-worker just walks in and quits without any notice an their work gets pumped onto me I don't blame them at all.
Heard at the old Allied Sites a lot of the mechanics etc. just walk up and say this is my last day, I am retiring as of today. Since there is no loyalty at the top for the those at the bottom they see no reason to give loyalty to the top.

Same thing is happening at the other Space locations. After the RIF there will be many fewer managers at the Tier-4 & 5 level.
Too bad they never eliminate VP positions. There are way too many VPs (since the reorg) that don't even have people reporting to them any more. If they really want to save some money they need to cut VPs positions with their big salaries and stock options. But they always seem to take care of their own and only look at cutting lower level managers and employees.
