Board should replace Chuck before he drains Cisco's cash with mindless M&A and other bogus initiatives. Cisco is a great company and sad to see how toothless leadership it has at the top at a time when the world is going through technology transition phase.
Here are the failure list of Chuck Robbins: Cloud, Data Analytics, IoT (Jasper can not scale), Hyperconvergence (Springpath is dead).
Now his new gig is APM and think AppDynamics will take him to the next $1B business unit. It has only $100M revenue now and he paid >$3B. Cisco Board and leadership, the VCs in Silicon Valley and Cisco M&A team all are in bed together.
Chuck is akin to Steve Balmer of MS and Mark Hurd of HPE. Those two incompetent leaders did so much damage to the two great companies that they are still trying hard to get back on track. If Chuck continues with such erratic behavior like paying $1.2B for Jasper and $3.5B for App Dynamics, Cisco will be destroyed in a couple of years with such M&As before a Chinese company like Huawei or Lenovo buys them out.
In fact there are three stooges that should let go by the boards. Chuck R from Cisco, Meg W from HPE and Ginni R from IBM. They are failing to save three great american organizations. I think IBM is getting ready to let Ginni R go.
Cisco should get a more tech savvy CEO to do the turn around. I want to see Cisco succeed again at all costs.
