Anyone know why the topics about upcoming layoffs and no bonuses were deleted?

You will not be getting bonus , You will be getting conus ;-)
and that merited that post being deleted?
The posts were junk. They claimed that there was no bonus, if I remember correctly all three posts - if you simply look at CEC, you will see that it's spelled out what the annualized % payout is. This allow you to to account for the mid year payout and it's shown how all of this is calculated.

Probably because they were written by a troll who wants to stir the pot.
The thread had at least 10 folks proving the OP to be wrong and just trolling. I'd assume they will nuke this thread too...
