BDC storage team certainly is weird with all these old directors, program managers and techies who have no knowledge of storage They don't understand agile development and they want reports thrice a week. It is really sad that I am working in such an outdated system. I am waiting for confirmation from Amazon.
This is one reason why large companies with thick management layers can't Innovate. You need lean management like how it is in Google and Amazon. Dell EMC is a goner. The best of engineering talent have left to start ups. What is left is a small minority of engineers on top of whom are the large vampire management.

What I fail to understand in cyclone is that the number of people who actually do work is less. That too in an agile development model you have so many managers, managers reporting to managers, directors reporting to directors, program managers generating useless reports.. There is something really amiss in this so called SAFE agile development of Cyclone. Chickens are ruling over the pigs. Cyclone is a recipe for disaster.
Only upper management should be blamed. Hopkinton, NDC, BDC all working on Cyclone. No one knows what they are doing and what other sites are doing. Like the below comment it's fine as long as we fool each other.
I works in the QA team of the migration project for Cyclone. We have fooled everyone by giving faked demos with no underlying functionality. I dunno how long we can carry through this con job. We are hoping our two conmen techies will come up with some new con job to fool cyclone management. Our director claims CTO is in his pocket. But we dunno for how long.
If NDC team is a 6 in a rating of one to ten with ten being the best. BDC is a 2. The BDC team has spent three years to understand Equallogic which was developed in NDC and they can't even fix minor defects without breaking some other unrelated stuff. Even these folks are working in cyclone which is a big joke. They are working in a migration project for cyclone and they know batshit about storage arrays. They worked in a migration project earlier between Dell legacy storage where they couldn't go beyond school boy level programming.They have successfully fooled everyone including CTO and generally having fun. Hope folks in Hopkinton realize that they have been taken on ride by a technically incompetent bogus team.
