Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Bed bath and beyond layoff insider 2017 CEO S---S!!!!!!!!! Steven H. Temares What now!!!!!

Well thank you to the CEO of bed bath and beyond ( Steven H. Temares ) well what do we have to say about the CEO !!! that you... you s---, thank you for driving the business down the ground, you Have no respect to the management staff that works at ground level Inside all of your bed bath and beyond stores, here is the service level that cost money, customers do not purchase items anymore, they simply rent them, used them, break them, return them. Why because we have a never say no policy....!!!!! If you can only imagine the dollars of donations that bed bath and beyond sends out every week. All the returns that come in there are donated... donations can be approximately $10,000 just from about 3 to 4 days of returns, multiply that by two donations a week depending on size of the store and returns, equals $20,000 a week !!!!! give or take on smaller stores maybe $ 10,000 a week, why Because we have a " NEVER SAY NO PLOICY ". Nobody can say NO. They buy a product they use it, they have it for 2 or 5 or 10 years, they return it because it stopped working, they don't like it anymore, or they want a new one. WOW REALLY!!!!!! We let them abuse our return policy to the max ( maybe if their was better control and a return policy, we would save so much money ) now with this in place over many many many years we would've saved a lot of money and not be forced in the end for layoffs we would've been more profitable as a company , but because the district staff and all the way up the ladder they do not want to deal with complaints about returns or at the customer service desk, just take care of the customer...Let's not get into the THEFT that happens at bed bath and beyond stores, the amount of stolen goods stolen each day At a Bed Bath and beyond store, only because we can't stop them from stealing.... why!!!! we have to give them great customer service!!!! to prevent them from stealing, but in the meantime this takes away from customers that want to shop, and takes service away from them... so we have loss prevention, what do they do ..... wait for it!!!!!!!!! NOTHING. We report and ask for security measures for our products especially for our electronic goods, that are just out in the open not even Best Buy or target or Walmart have their items exposed, why because of theft... On top of the stolen merchandise being stolen each day, they will return the merchandise and get a store credit, so they can go by other stuff that they couldn't steal like large bulky items. I've worked for bed bath and beyond in the California area South Bay " west coast " for 18 years ...!!!! gave my heart, my soul, my dedication, lots of overtime, helping customers, helping associates, long hours, even on the holidays, taking time away from family..... all for what, NOTHING, So thank you CEO of bed bath and beyond ( Steven H. Temares ) just because you take at 13% pay cut !!! look at all the positions below you, there are some huge dollars there, maybe you should have taken cuts there and maybe layoffs, or better yet realignment of corporate staffing, and down to the RVP and district staff. Their are multiple staffing of rvp and dm for the same job title!!!! Really, they do WHAT for the stores wait for it......... zero nothing but collect a paycheck, while all your managers are working hard 50 to 60 hours every week to make the store what it is. (and stores run on bare minimal hours ) how do you think all this stuff gets done, stocking resetting of the rooms and Change overs and setting the isles to the flow of traffic for the different seasons... But wait we still have to complete the jobs that we are responsible to do as well . When was the last time you came in and visited stores...!!!!! when was the last time you rode up your sleeves and helped us out!!!!!!! ( JUST TO WIPE YOUR OWN A-- ) And to top it off all the managers receive direct deposit's on Wednesday for a lump sum of money just to find out that on Thursday morning when they walk into the store....first thing in the morning to say sorry for your services, we are realigning our management staff and thank you!!!!! ( NO F--- YOU ) here's a severance package you're laid off. Maybe if the CEO were a good CEO you would've realigned your corporate staff all the way down ( I know for sure all those top guys and g--s are not even working 50 hours, maybe not even 40 hours, easy money for doing nothing ) maybe they should've taken pay cut as well and done a little more and to help in the stores !!!! instead of sit on their butt status. I guess you forget to realize that every manager that you laid off, they will tell their families, their friends, post on social media, you just hurt your company badly!!!!! by the time all this gets out and word-of-mouth and on social media... well bath and beyond in-store sales will drop, who wants to shop at a store, that that the CEO Steven H. Temares does not care about its people. Well good luck bed bath and beyond, let's just see how long after this you still stay ahead. You just lost some great people. Like you said the best advertisement is word-of-mouth, well I guess bed Bath and beyond will eat its own words. To all my fellow managers, I feel for you I feel for your families keep your head up and be strong and I hope for the best for all... west coast former manager.

Wow, really sorry to hear & see... but not really unexpected. (Note: What I'm about to share I have documented proof from US Senate hearings & meetings that NOBODY especially the press cared about then nor cares about now) The reason, same thing happened in the auto industry that started in the early 80's through the 90's when the Japanese auto industry thought he use of the Keiretsu funded by the Japanese government was able to steal our advanced and required EPA technology development and implement it into their vehicles for free. We are talking about the microprocessing systems in our vehicles today! Oh, and Not having to recover the development expenses in the purchase price allowing further price dumping in our country on top of the manipulated yen where you could (and still can) purchase one of their vehicles cheaper in the USA vs Japan. The US government did nothing about this for over 3 decades except allow a ridiculous trade imbalance of (wait for it... right out of the Senate Hearing documents I have on PDF) of over 650,000 Hyundai imports alone to a all inclusive near 7,000 combined total Ford, GM and Chrysler combined imports into South Korea. And how did the US citizens repay the auto industry workers... of course by purchasing even greater quantities of Foreign vehicles to the point that they are taking over with building even more plants here than before! Oh, and the larger volumes of auto supplies are imported from supply houses in their respective countries so the plants are nothing more than assembly locations allowing even more societal decay and collapse of small towns where manufacturing supplies were once conducted for the US based auto industry. Oh, and by the way, I have this on a video with the then Senator Donal Reigle from Michigan who chaired a Senate meeting at the U of M Dearborn campus in 1993 or so, exposing this as the beginning of our manufacturing downfall which oh by the way affected the entire country when hundreds of thousands of auto jobs were eliminated with forced retirements or plain ole firings. Oh, then the employees (many thousands at a time) that lost their jobs were replaced by outsourced people/organizations. We even witnessed computer programmers who were terminated that were forced to train their replacements (now get this) directly From INDIA before they were let go. Outcome, well loss of jobs to start, loss of retirements where some were lucky to receive one and most received extremely low percentages of what they planned their entire working career for just to be let go at 29 years and 6 months so they lose more than half of what their monthly retirement would be regardless of having nearly all Outstanding performance reviews. Also loss homes, purchasing power, vacations and investments. Hmmm... when did the economy really begin to tank and stores fail, airlines going out of business because they fly less and so on? You figure it out. POINT IS, nobody cares if it doesn't affect them directly. Then they repay the US society and economy by purchasing more from offshore companies. The average citizen is like a little Nero driving their imports caring less about Rome burning and more about their personal fiddle playing moment of right now. Don't look for compassion from others entering the BBB stores, sorry to say (truly), it ain't going to happen. Remember, I have documented government proof that I have sent to the media's (all of them) and not one of them has cared or informed the US public... because there was a greater initiative! Oh, just as a quick note of similarity, one major supplier that was spun off from the corporation (so yes, they used to be employees that basically got screwed out of their retirement as they started over) well that corporation attacked the management level first setting up "a manage by fear syndrome" and chaos with no leadership just before they released most of their employees, and was attempting to sell off the company to a foreign entity before the legal system stopped them. The only poetic justice I am aware of from that scenario was the manager that spent weeks without compassion of remorse, finally completed his task and was in his managers office presenting his wrap-up report... when he was fired afterwards as his services was no longer required. I truly am sorry to hear of this as our home basically looks like a BBB showroom with our products so we have been loyal store supporters. We know and understand what is happening to you and feel sorry for what is about to happen to others.

I have been with the company for over 15 years and heard of one manager that sent a thank you to Mr Temares via a letter condemning his actions as well as a cut up gift card for their 10 years of service straight to his home address. A gift card that equals to 4 dollars a year for their blood sweat and tears. This is only the beginning. I have been around long enough to see the company go from caring about their employees and have a lot of perks (manager holiday dinners, lunches for comment cards, and decent raises that were above the .20 the good employee currently earns) to a giant that grew too big and overstretched itself to a company that wants virtually all hourly's running the buildings. This is the reason I am abandoning ship. I know many managers that haven't received their reviews in over 2 years. How decent is that?
