I was in the last round of layoffs and since then have not needed my BP meds, never had any BP issues before working here. Coaches (and probably everyone) must turn off their integrity in order to work at Humana. It has turned out to be a blessing that I am gone. For those that are/ will be laid off, trust me you are/ will be better off for it.

I was in first round of layoffs. ..now work as a EAP Consultant. ..not for the EAP company Humana uses and a previous poster was right.... it is totally confidential and the EAP can refer you to a counselor who can help you. We get many calls relating to layoffs and workplace issues so take advantage of the free service!!

I'm sure OP did not share this so we can all fight about Humana/Aetna. I hope your coworker gets the help they need, poster. This is rough for sure.

" EAP work for humana. Your health is more important than this BS look for another job and move on. Aetna is hiring.". You may like to read about AETNA and the other big names on this site, Many are keen to bad mouth Humana now but get real, none of those other companies are going to be any better.

Oh for heavens sake, EAP doesn't work for Humana! Humana contracts out with an EAP company. Humana doesn't even know when you utilize the service. EAP counselors are not Humana employees! I used it when going through my divorce last year and it was very helpful! I didn't pay for anything and Humana didn't know I was seeing a counselor!

Before I left my B/P was nearing stroke level and I was having chest pains from all the stress. I had never had any health problems prior. Just wasn't worth it. After I walked away my stress decreased tremendously and am no longer having any issues. That place just isn't worth it. Take care of yourselves, no one else will.

I have co-workers on anti depressants and anxiety meds because of the constant bullying and threats from their coach! Humana stinks badly!

Just talking to coworkers has me realizing what an eventful impact these 2017 layoffs have had on all of us. Some are really, really struggling with all of this. So much weight on everyone's shoulders right now. I wish your friend the best.

Before I left I was started on an antidepressant and anti anxiety medication. I was constantly ill. I am not surprised.
