All i can say is that i work in the financial department here as an upper level manager and there are ZERO plans to purchase Noble Energy.

Hey so called "oldtimer" I don't think you know what you are talking about. No only that I'm fairly certain I am more of an "oldtimer" than you are. And when did Noble Energy become Nobleenergy? So people who declined the transfer did not go to Houston? Brilliant! You have made the point that Noble has already sold out in the DJ Basin? How did you come to this conclusion. Furthermore BP has numerous assets in the Rocky Mountains. San Juan Basin being one of those. It's highly doubtful they want Noble's crappy DJ position.

Look, Nobleenergy made that move in an attempt to keep key people they needed for the Texas play that will soon be everything that the DJ was to them and than some. its obvious.
As to that particular well, I know it was acquired from noble, that was stated on every news channel know to mankind. Read between the lines. They "noble" never turned on lines they didn't know where it went to. Anadarko did exactly that. When you've been in the oilfield as long as me, you get to know people in every company out there. People saying the same on both sides, no matter how much the media try's to cover it up, the truth is know throughout the basin.
"Old Timer", I wish you were right. Not everyone who was told their positions were being moved was actually offered a position in Houston. Not to mention, who in their right mind would want to leave the amazing state of Colorado for the heat, humidity and highways of Houston?
Anadarko got that particular well from Noble in the 2013 trade. You'll notice Noble was also named as a defendant in all of the lawsuits.
"Job relocation" was a real job relocation, those people were sent to Houston. I've been in the oilfield longer than most you green wet behind the ears kids on this post. Nobleenergy DJ basin unit is for sale or has been sold already. My guess is BP has picked them up. Why else build an office in a state you do not operate wells in? Y'all morons calling noble people incompetent, stupid, and look in the mirror, at least noble employees are not out turning on lines they have no clue where it goes, than attempting to blame the old opporater that owned the well like 5 years ago. And blowing up tanks because getting the job done on time is more important than safety. I'm not an employee of either company. Just see the proof in front of me.

NBL employees need to look on the mirror. Yes your management team s u c k s ... but you stink too. You are just as culpable for the demise of NBL as the managers. You just didn't get paid as much as they did! They will be set for life and you will have to find a new job. That's s bummer.

No one with an ounce of analytic skills actually believes that Anadarko is purchasing Noble. Wishful thinking from disgruntled NBL employees, and trolling from some others. How about we stick to real news...like the fact that the recent "job-relocation" in Denver was nothing more than a disguised layoff, and that NBL still hasn't told people when their last day will be.
As a real "Nobleenergy" employee, we do not think of Anadarko that way, we view them as a competitor and a good neighbor to us at Noble noting more. To say "Nobleenergy incompetent employees" just exactly who are you that makes you a supreme being? May I come dust off your boots? Or kiss your feet "god"?
As an Anadarko employee let's hope this poster is correct. Buying Noble would be a huge mistake. It would drag Anadarko down to the level of Noble. We definitely would not want that. We also would not want absorb their sorry incompetent staff!
I am the Real Anadarko employee, the president of the whole thing. Buying Noble is all Anadarko talks about, believe me, we have the greatest oil, our oil is the greatest.
