I understand that Weatherford had approached Halliburton about merging, and the only sticking point was that they were asking for a $5 BILLION non-approval agreement, but Uncle Dave would have none of that, and offered them no less than $7.5 BILLION, or he would walk.

There's money to be made with this 2nd rate setup.

We got our people all over watching things. Our crews can still operate.

While the top priority of the corporate world may be to drive performance , our solders our managers can work with this to make money . Hell we have the best entertainment around and there ain't nothing that they can do about it. They being our competitors or shareholders.

"Certainly Mr. Miller understands and sees when his Directors and VP's are shielding him from the truth."

Why would he want the truth to be revealed, he is well compensated, and his financial future is guaranteed, irregardless of the fate of Halliburton.

Do you think that he was ever anything other than a yes man to Uncle Dave, so why wouldn't he surround himself (remembering that Uncle Dave is STILL in the picture) with the same type of loyal, a---kissing, stooges?

I agree totally.

I worked for Halliburton on the C&P side and then went to Weatherford. There are a lot of similarities in the culture and the business. In light of the failed M&A I have to admit that Halliburton is starting to looking like Weatherford did about 5 to 7 years ago.

Very poor leadership and a lot of hot air on integration. Show me the money and the value and stop blaming the little people for all this poor management.
