Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

ROI wondering

Here's a chart I would like to see. Take our investments and acquisitions in the last 5 years. Put that amount into a index fund. See what returns we'd have.

Basis, Oakley, tv thing, mobileEye, Mcafee etc.

My bet: something way more than we're getting buying our way in late to these technologies. I'm we'd still have the principal. All those above are a complete loss.

Board? Awake?

cheaper lidar is the right approach per Delphi and others. My understanding is that Mobileye is insistent on using visible spectrum cameras which are next to useless in lowlight situations. All good unless you want to use the vehicle at night or in rain.

The mother of all acquisitions is mobileye. Would love to look at the maths of that acquisition. The acquisition os on the premise that auto mobile industry would accept proprietary stuff based on proprietary intel cpu. It was the same tragic bilief that engulfed motorola chips

It ain't BKs money he got a huge raise, clears 30 million and layoffs of old white guys to cover his mistakes and hires URM to try and make it up
