Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Attrition

People are tired of waiting for a severance package and are now resigning without any severance pay.

Tough times.

Defense companies are hiring big time. Manufacturing companies across the USA are as well. Manufacturing is up while O&G is in the decline and expecting to stay in the decline for the foreseeable future. Get out of O&G now while you can.

Go! Go! Go!

Just in the past 6 month, I have seen at least six brilliant young engineers quit SLB for greener grass. All of them got hired by SLB straight out of college and went through a long fixed step training program then become proficient in their area. All are sicken tired of the bureaucracy and lack of opportunities. Who lost the most?

So sad, few people had hance to get shares, even though they can sell them for 12 month.

Desperate people stay in this company. I am one of them.
