Stop sales of all Beautyrest, Simmons and Sealy mattresses has been announced. Forgot to pay bill? What a loss in sales...

This affected Simmons and Serta, which are sister companies
Finally was able to order mattresses today. The question now is if the orders/deliveries will actually be fulfilled. I'm not counting on it.
Stupid company. Traditionally one of the biggest mattress weekends of the year, and we can't order these items. It cost our store quite a bit of lost Saturday sales. And it, of course, happens after they actually advertised on TV for once.
@1qyv I can speak of it seems something happened when I came they took them down now put them up maybe Sears did a late payment lol...
Company-wide email said everything is fixed as of 15 minutes ago. We can sell them again and they will be back on the website soon.
@O2h5cvL-1igs Every mattress in the link you supplied says they are not available for delivery as well as store pick up.
@O2h5cvL-1jvm they still be available

@fpo- go and look again. If you go and click on any of the Sertas, they come up unavailable. I'm guessing they're still working on wiping the website.
Fake news? I can still see lots of mattresses available on sears.com.

Sold by Sears and Kmart.
@ixh- Sealy, Tempur, and Stearns & Foster aren't affected. Just Serta and Simmons.
It looks like Sealy is available online.
Yes but it looks like there are still 500 or more mattresses you can buy on Sears.com which is still a large assortment.
Holy cow. Only available online from overstock.com. That is terrible.
@mjk- this was NOT Sears decision. They've even admitted that on Pebble. What a disaster, especially in the middle of a big holiday sale. Leadership is scrambling toctry and figure out what to do. So far all they've said is to pull signs off all Serta and Simmons. They don't even know if sales placed in the past week will be filled.
It's easier to sell credit in mattresses because of the longer financing that is offered (24-60 months no interest)
If we lose mattresses then we are in for a bumpy ride to the end. Others will follow if this is true. Mattresses are very popular in our store. I imagine it is in others.
I sell both mattresses and appliances but prefer selling mattresses because I get more commission off of a ~$1200 mattress sale than I do off of a ~$1200 appliance sale. What's more, I don't have to worry about getting PAs when I sell mattresses, just SYW and credit, and for some reason, it's easier to get a credit app selling a mattress than it is for appliances.
What ever came of the supplier issue, the one that supposedly supplies 50% of all Craftsman hand tools? Are they still not shipping? Also, I'm surprised of the loyalty Whirlpool has to Sears. They supply most of the low-end to mid-range Kenmore appliances, read: our bread and butter. Lots of lawn tractors and mowers (MTD?) are coming in too. Very risky.
Yup. They aren't available online anymore. However, my old store rarely sold beautyrest anyway so I don't know if it's because the vendors pulled out, or because sears wanted to put their attention to the brands they sell more of.
There's no telling to be honest.
No Serta or Beautyrest.
They are still on sale because of backstock of mattresses. What other brand of mattress is out there to sell? Some off brand that no one has heard of with no warrenty? Getting closer to the cliff edge.
It is sweet and Simmons beautyrest and
serta icomfort. We can sell Tempurpedic, Sealy, and Sterns and Foster.
Damn you got intel from where OP. This is big if they are out overall can tell you a lot where are they gona get their high quality product from?
Odd they appear to still be for sale on Sears.com.
Interesting, I am surprised about the mattresses. Furniture has a huge markup. I would have thought the mattress vendors would be the last vendor to pull out of the stores not one of the early ones.
ooompossible - shld is re-inventing itself to be a mattress store and sell auto services on the side
