I work in customer support. Those of us who came from acquired companies were always in total shock at how badly our customers get treated by Oracle. We used to have a huge team of great engineers with tons of experience. Now it's like 99% Indians who just graduated last year and know nothing about the product. The SRs I've seen man. No wonder customers don't want to trust us in the cloud.

Buggy software and support that can't fix issues. If you are asking a customer to pay millions of dollars for software and millions of dollars for consulting and support, then don't be surprised when customers are unhappy when they can't get issues resolved in a timely manner or fixed at all because the support and development staff have no idea what they are doing. Don't blame them because they're inexperienced - blame leadership.

Its true that the customers don't "rush" to do business with Oracle because they are a great company to work with - thats for sure. Look at the contract hell they put their own customers through.
