I don't understand why most people still at cisco dont quit, most of them have huge equity in their overpriced silicon valley homes. They can easily sell and move to lower cost part of the country.

ELTs when they get let go get massive severance packages. Don't for a second think this hurts them. Isn't the CEO from Yahoo getting $110m+ to leave?
