How is the associates discount working for the sales at Sears? Has there been a profit for the company, with the new associates discount. I would like it if they go back to the old way.

Deliveries and installations are NOT done by Sears. It is contracted to a third party. A&E service repair is still Sears techs.
Forget Sears. No discount, no shopping.
The associates discount was dropped in favor of 'points' in the Shop Your Way program. Those points also expire after only 60 days. They're pretty much useless unless you keep the revolving door going. I wasn't a regular enough shopper to accumulate too many points even before the change.
Pretty sure deliveries and installation are done by Sears or what I think is A&E which is also part of Sears. I have had several appliances delivered and installed and everyone has been good. No one I would call questionable at all.
I purchased a new washer back in December from HHGregg. I got the same washer cheaper and delivered within a week after purchased. Sears uses a third party that hires drug heads for deliveries and installations. It was going to cost me one hundred dollars more with my "discount" and 4 weeks for delivery from Sears
We have or had a few associates who were platinum SYW members who spent at least $15000 per year in the store. Since the change they might have spent a couple hundred dollars since Christmas. How it working out for you corporate?
I bought an appliance recently at a competitor. I shopped there on the principle cited by others, and found it was less expensive there even if we still had an associate discount.
In my store alone, the lack of associate discount lost the company at least $10,000 in sales just this past week. Two employees, both veterans, took advantage of military discounts (one at Lowe's; the other at Home Depot) to get kitchens full of appliances. Sad thing is that one if them sells appliances here.
lol I can't even see those "points" as an employee discount... it's little more than a small coupon for next time.
Likewise, I rarely buy anything anymore. Took away the discount, and then April came and they cut my store's hours so bad that I (and most in my team) did not have work for month and now that I'm back I'm lucky if I get two short shifts a week and earning very little compared to when my hours were much closer to full time... I can't justify buying anything now.
It is funny because since the associate discount went bye bye and was trade for points you could see the sales plummet even more than they were. I have co workers not buy as much and as mentioned a lot of people waited for pay day and actually would spend their money, but no more spending less now than before.
But as many have said its the principle to not support the company you work for since they don't care about you. My hours for example being cut and adding work of loads I rather spend my hard earn money else where. Also not to add the stuff Sears sells is overpriced.
It's payday and I just spent $1000 on Amazon.com. Even with the associate discount Amazon still had the better deal. I also could have put it on my 5321 card but to heal with Sears.
I will not shop at Sears any more just on the principal of things.
Employee sales have plummeted. Most in my store used to shop every payday and spend most of their check on things they needed and on sale items. Now I don't think I see but a few employees buying anything.
Store employees are most definitely spending less. Personally, I won't buy from Sears anymore on general principle.
I think they forgot that their employees were their best customers.
What I can say about my end with the associate discount went away and it turn out into points co workers are now spending less. I doubt it will ever come back as it doesnt benefit the company. I would say though sales have gone down a lot of my co workers would buy stuff at the store when pay day arrived.
