Chill out zones

You can find many “chill out zones” in all three Cisco buildings at Bedfont Lakes. This is where we come to relax or take a break. How? Well, there are massage chairs (ahhhhh!), nap pods for getting your energy back, and games – like Scrabble and puzzle-solving fun. We work hard, and we relax hard (which energizes us to work hard again.)

The new development in Cisco US is the "F--- U Zone” - if you have been in Cisco for double digit years, then you become eligible to enter the “FUZ” - you enter this zone to the sound of heavenly music, your badge is taken, you go through a full cavity search to locate any Cisco specific IP and you exit to the street with a sore arse and humming the tune, “Happy Days are here again"

Always nice to have a wank in them now and again. Even better if you can hear your colleagues moving about outside.

Executive: we need a cool culture to attract the best talent like Google does

Management team: OK, how about we stop wearing ties?

Executive: great idea! That's almost free too. Doesn't Google do free lunch and stuff?

Management team: yeah... But it costs too much.

Executive: Why don't we lay off some folk to pay for it?

Management team: even better, why not just keep some of the money and put some funky furniture in. That's culture, right?

Executive: do it. Well done for your out of the box thinking

They are strategically placed so if you were to use them, everyone in the building can see you. Only for the brave or for those hoping for a place in the you're fired list.

God help you if your manager catches you in a Chill Out Zone. The only time to use them is after hours or on the weekends. The only time I had seen someone use the game rooms in SJ is if they were an intern or a child of employee.
