Verizon was ready to go the distance to break the union. It took President Obummer to appoint tom perez as the biased mediator. Within hours Verizon crumbled to the POTUS and the union won. Trump does not care about unions due to there shoddy overpriced work ethic so you might get the big boot.

I don't like the political agenda but that isn't what this is about. We need a fair contract! Scabs like you are garbage and just taking money from my family.
The union definitely has a political agenda and CWA supports candidates like Bernie Sanders. I also resigned years ago so my dues didn't go to their political causes and candidates. I pay only for the cost of bargaining and representing me. I don't want any of my money going to their candidates or political uses. Since I am not a member of CWA I don't have to worry about being fined for striking.
I do not think people who want a decent family wage and medical benefits are pushing a social agenda.
If you want to look at free handouts look to all the corporate welfare that our tax money supports, they are the real parasites on a productive society.
I worked and made a lot of money. I couldn't give a crap about what the union thinks of me. In my store the only ones who care are the lazy employees who take advantage of the system and the rest of us hate them any way. I had resigned the union long ago so that I had reduced union dues because I didn't want to support their socialist political agenda. I go in, do my job, make a good pay check, and go home. All this union fueled drama is BS.

I'm a rep and I was on strike and yes our managers sold a lot. So what? We are fighting for more than for a weekend of sales we are fighting for a fair contract. And people shouldn't be written up for not bringing up Directv to one customer! Not everyone wants Direct tv!!
I stayed and worked this weekend after resigning from the union and did 8 TV sales lmao.
Our area had 5 of 25 stores closed and had the best weekend in 2 months with Directv. Authorized dealer doors made up for phones lost and also did well with TV. It wasn't our best ever weekend but it was really good. We did the best TV to phone ratio I can ever remember.
Funny troll boy in San Diego for a fact we shut Core stores down during the strike!...how could they do record sales with the doors closed? Sounds like more company bs propaganda to me
They are writing people up because sales are down and they're not tolerating not even bringing up DTV. It isn't because of the strike. It's your job to bring it up. Why should you be allowed to not bring it up?
Our managers put 3 people on discipline today for not bringing up Direct TV. They are on a war path.
Yeah my store's sales for directv were more than the whole rest of the month so now managers are coming down hard on us to perform better. It definitely s---s and just made things worse for us
At my store we had more sales in this last weekend then our whole month...they lined up a dream teamn of former reps and tripled what we normally do....while at&t also saved money not paying thousands of employees.....i don't agree with a pointless strike....it made at&t realize they can get things done with less stores and drive the market online and have a few high volume stores and pay those reps a little better ....strike was kinda pointless....
The Union "leaders" sit back and eat shrimp and lobster and still get paid while the workers are "on strike" and get NO pay.
Unions are NOT what they once were. Time to close them up and get to WORK!

There is discussion about hiring permanent replacements during a long term strike and after the strike returning workers will come back as vacancies in the permanent replacements happen
I was on the call, overall sales were down 30%...we are talking millions lost because of the strike.
I have always been pro-union until this. The union is using us and lied trying to tell us we couldn't resign and had to strike or get fired. I can't believe how they tried to bully us. We even got threatened that if we didn't picket the union would never fight for us in a grievance.
I get it.
I am pro business too but if you are trying g to intimidate it's not working. It is actually making me defensive. Why don't you work 7 days a week, pay for all of your health and medical bills and take it up the arse from your boss. The union has its place but it's leadership s---s.they need to be revive with people of character.
The union doesn't care really. It is just a publicity stunt. No matter what contract is agreed to the union will declare victory even as the company silently laughs in victory.
Not just that, the company exceeded sales expectations for the weekend and is likely emboldened to go long-term knowing that more reps will cross the picket line in a long term strike. The weekend stunt backfired big time!
