Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T to lock doors on Monday

For those on strike I've been told by upper management that they may in fact lock the doors or otherwise refuse to let employees back in to their workplace on Monday until a contract is signed. Guess this 2 day strike really wasn't worth it after all.

Directvnow lost subscribers last month and growth is flat, no one wants a bad product even if it's free, with this company always watch the fine print. Beware

What BS?. They got ultimate packages on a 2 year commitment for the promo price plus regional sports fee and tax. A one time activation. Two of them were xfinity and two of them were calling and calling to get new service, but you guys were closed. Actually one of them has an appointment tomorrow to talk about switching his trucking from Verizon/fleetmatics to a whole new 20 line ATT business account/Fleetcomplete. Don't be sad when AT&T bends you over again, ARs have benefits and once we calculate Commision we make about the same as Core (if you try) Don't be crawling to AR wanting a job saying you are ex core and have so much experience. :)

you think blowing horns is unprofessional what about the ethical violations that 1st lines and 2nd lines are doing to get promoted. this should really be investigated to get rid of the trash has made att lose its reputation as one of the best companies to work for. Randy if you read this investigate and get rid of those 1st lines that slept with 2nd lines to get promoted.called getting rid of the trash.

ATT would never lock the Union out. If they the burden falls on them. The union employees would unemployment payments immediately and that costs the cost company. If the Union walks it's costs us union guys more up front but hopefully breaks management greed before it costs us. I am not a fan of these "planned" strikes usually it's saving the company money to make up whatever small increases mobility will get. This is all baked in allready

Same AR employee with 4 DTVs today. Loving the traffic. Core employees apply to your local dealer. I have hired about 4 Core employees already.

Biggest losers ranked:

1) rsms & asms who think att is a career and are loyal to Randy

2) AR employees who make like 35k

3) rscs who think theyre going to be lifelong rscs and arent using tuition reimbursement

You do realize that if AT&T locks the doors it's considered a lockout and not a work stoppage by the Union....In that case, all locked out employees will receive unemployment benefits immediately. Striking workers would receive benefits after the 8th week of a strike.

Each State frowns deeply on any company locking out their employees and putting the burden on the State any time before the 8th week .....So this is NOT happening.

T-Mobile and AT&T compete in the marketplace but the working people in both companies have a lot in common and what happens in one contract can have a good or bad affect on another.

No customer is going to run to another company because people are trying get a better contract and benefits, people leave because T is deceptive about what they sell, and has relatively poor coverage because all the money goes to buying other companies and exec bonuses, with little spent to build a forward thinking company.
