I think cisco is going to screw us by not paying the Bonus this year to save money... any thoughts?

Bonus means: having the opportunity to screw the HOT kelly kramer.

Define "bonus".

If you are on commission, they will cut you off at the knees and quit paying you commission on the date of notification for any new business that comes in, despite the fact that you probably worked your nuts off for it.

If you were performing well above plan, you would have been into acceleration dollars at the end of the year...that's where you'd make decent money. Firing you today means they don't have to pay that, but they get to book the business that you made happen. And of course, the lawyers have made sure this is all buttoned up real nice and tidy.

The bonus is that the quality of the food in the cafeterias will not be getting any worse in the coming months.

Highly unlikely to get a bonus beyond the 25% pre-bonus already paid to grade 12s and below.

Yes you will get bonuses. Maybe not at 100% payout. Don't forget the ELT team grade 12 and above rely heavily on it. They get 30% and above bonus payouts at their grade level.

And the special RSU window given to the Very Special Select Few (i.e. slideware experts) are another indication the bonus is toast.

Well let's see:

  1. Mid year was half payout

  2. Q3 earnings were disappointing

  3. Q4 forecast is bad

Since company performance determines pay-out I'd say it is a foregone conclusion that there will be little or no end of year pay out.

No, I don't believe it. And it would be unlawful in many countries, so I don't believe they would even entertain the idea. Well, the CFO might, but HR would shoot it down.

I cant believe they would try to reclaim the pre-bonus payment that has been already paid (and spent most likely!). Is this for real?

Woke up to a text from a manager telling me that I shouldn't have spent the bonus.

Not looking good.

When I joined Cisco, I was told that I would be receiving bonus and stocks. Now there is no bonus and stocks. I am told that my reward is to have the honor to work for Cisco and I should be grateful that I still have the job :(

They just approved a clawback policy. So not only no bonus but you have to give back the bonus advance from Q2

No bonus this year. Huge layoff in q4 in the works.

ELT deserves a bonus. It's exhausting to lay off thousands of American families.

IF I don't get a bonus... I don't think anyone else should... which includes the ELT.

Its not screwing you if the company hasn't hit the targets it is supposed to in order to pay it out - which clearly it is not going to.

Your bonus is you have a job. Now shut The F up and get back to work

Is there a guarantee that you'll even get one?

Just be grateful you have a job even though we could have replaced you with an intern.
