I was hoping to learn the hottest web stacks and a friend at Oracle told me to look into Oracle Java ADF, JavaScript Jet framework and Plsql Apex. I don't see that many articles on them but think it would be a good way to stand out. Can anyone who worked on these web stacks tell me if I should try it or stick w mainstream React/Angular/Ruby?
What's apex, ADF?? \look at what Amazon or Facebook use for the web stack and use the same technologies. That's what you want to learn.
Forget about React, Angular. Jet, Apex and ADF are numbero Uno!!!
I used oracle jet, which seems rather heavy as a framework, but it did an OK job. ADF must be at least 20 years old, it's the only thing anyone at Oracle knows.
Internally, Oracle does not have web knowledge and they can't hire anyone who has that type of experience because no one who knows what they are doing wants to work at Oracle. The engineers there are terrible, they generally are intent on just doing what the management says, do not think about anything.... they just want to keep the job because they can't get another one.
I wouldn't get advice on web tech from anyone at Oracle.
Have a look on apex.oracle.com . You can test and you have links at the end of the page to articles , trainings .... you can see pointers to apex fanclub.
