Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How long do you think until vzw completely gets rid of corp stores?

You think it'll happen? or you think those hums, hpc and jp will keep them open?

It wouldn't surprise me if they go down to a few tech support stores, 1 or 2 per large area then rest indirect or online. They already have been pushing online sales over in stores. As someone else said they tend to follow but ATT and Comcast have started something similar.

They have corporate run retail stores because the Indirect locations are useless. They cause nothing but headaches for customers and definitely play a big part of customers jumping ship (obviously the shadiness of corporate stores plays a big role in that too), If the company ever plans to resurrect they will need to start seriously focusing on Integrity, which is something that disappeared from Verizon retail many many years ago.

From the day I started working at Verizon 20 years ago, I could never understand why they had corporate owned retail stores. The writing is on the wall, it will be sooner rather than later.

Verizon is a follower and not a leader so they will wait until someone else gets out of the retail business first and copy them.

For sure there will be fewer stores in the future as they are already quietly closing them. But I would be surprised to see Verizon get rid of a 100% of stores.

45 days from the time you submitted your severance paper work.
