Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Layoffs going on now

I am an employee that received a layoff notice in the development, training and consultant department. Out of the 600 of us nationwide, 200 of us were laid off last week. According to our hr the layoffs within various other departmenrs will continue through July with aprox 4500 team members impacted nation wide.

Exactly! Just get it done and let us go. I'm done with the micromanaging and asinine last minute policies all initiated to cover management's butts while the "little" people (i.e., the front line employees) get thrown under the bus every...single...day now. No more last minute calls and "reorganization" of "assets." Just pull the trigger!

I wish I would get laid off. Frankly sick of the other areas and their attitudes, nobody wanting to do their part to the job, just the minimal to stay under the radar and get a paycheck. Additionally I don't like being on pins and needles wondering if it will happen to me at any given moment. WF doesn't care your tenure, what you have contributed to the company or anything.

Best of luck to you. While it's tough now, there is life after WFB. The most difficult part is knowing how much Carrie Toldsted still kept in her bonuses even after the amount clawed back. She has a lot to be blamed for in all of this and more should be clawed back from her.

I'm waiting to hear my fate. I don't have high hopes.

Wfb also just changed the salary continuation policy under the guise of having to make a change for regulators. I don't doubt this was needed but to reduce the longest salary continuation from 17 months down to 12 months is horrible. I think they are trying to find ways to recover the money they had to dish out due to the scandal. This I go was posted in an internal news notice posted April 17, 2017. Titled "Amended salary continuation pay plan for u.s. based team members.
