Layoffs With Every Change of Strategy!!!

Do other big companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook, etc ... lay-off their employees and hire cheap labor in India every time they have a change in the company's strategy? How about investing in current employees? Wouldn't that be cheaper, faster, and more efficient?

The point is it is cheeper to hire younger, less skilled people. All the three stooges care about is the next quarter or two. The fact that all these fresh out of school Indian's are learning to code on our products is of no concern. Technical debt only matters to you if you plan on being around to see it paid. Clearly none of those three plan to stick around much longer. The fact that Fusion Applications is so broken that most customers don't even consider it usable is not keeping TK and co up at night. They know EXACTLY what they are doing. This is by design.

Well, think about who runs this company: a college drop out, a guy who spent his college time playing tennis but couldn't make it to the pros, and a lawyer turned I-banker. And who among them knows something about either running companies, strategy, or people management? Ahhhh, nobody! So there you have it!

The 3 stooges are just plain to dumb to think through this, desperation and focus on quarterly numbers reigns. The incentive packages for these three are so short sighted they don't even reach the tops of their noses; they're drug deep inside with all the snot

It wouldn't be cheaper - it wouldn't even be better. The one thing the IT is concerned with right now is 'time to market'. You have to do it fast. Quality is of secondary concern. Quality of a code, support, hw...you name it.

Just think of some IT companies that were known for 'quality' like 10 yrs ago. Just think of it for a minute.
