Thread regarding Sears layoffs

When are the cuts to the market teams?

Wondering when the cuts are happening to the market teams? There are too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Everyone has their own agenda and stores are struggling just to cover basic shifts. I've seen my managers even ringing on the registers themselves as there is no one to cover with no payroll. Too many people asking too many things with no help to the stores. All of it is unrealistic with the store structures how they have it. Market teams should be dissolved immediately

I agree the last i heard they have a travel ban to save money .... so why do we even need them, to have confence calls to tell us about the metrics we already know or to waste our time we can be on the floor ringing sales and helping the members

I don't know what is worse a market manager who does nothing or one who thinks the company is doing great. Ours comes in and tells us all about some reports he has looked over and how we need to improve this or that. How some paperwork is not being filled out correctly and how to be more effecient in our work. When we call him out on the need for more people, payroll, maintenance and ask if the company is going under he spouts some corporate speak about SHC is a 100 billion dollar company, how many people are being hired, how SHC is a job that the corporate world envies. And on and on and on. That was until a few weeks ago when he was layed off.

My market manager did nothing but run his mouth spouting corporate speak that even a small child would question. Now that the end is near, he does even less when he visits the store. Just stays on his phone texting or playing games or whatever. I wouldn't mind but he does get paid a lot.

And why are the conference calls so long? Same BS every week.

No major things will happen this week with it being 4th of July Weekend leading into the 4th. Next week could still be quiet, but the following week another storm will hit.

OP spot on. Yesterday I was the only manager in my store all day, open to close, because we had no cashier all day. 1 guy running MPU, 1 in appliances/electronics/mattresses, 1 in hardware and lawn/garden. I was in the cashwrap all day, having to ask customers to wait for me to come back when there was a manager call elsewhere or if someone needed change. BUT our Market leader was still insisting I get on the Monday morning conference call. Complete insanity.

@NZscKn5 You actually have your mangers ringing. Mine all stay in the back still hidden. It is very rare when you see the operations manager ringing the other 2 and the store manager still don't do nothing yet get paid the most. Payroll is cut, but they don't want to ring no one its just plain ridiculous.
