Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Whatever happened to the annual employee survey?

Are they afraid to hear the truth, or they don't care to hear it?

What about "embracing feedback"? It goes both ways.

It's not like it really matters. When has this company ever listened to our feedback, whether positive or negative?

It doesn't even have to be just about our feelings about the workplace, it could also be a chance to offer suggestions to increase sales and improve the business.

The surveys always have been somewhat of a joke .

I used to plug in false demographics just to throw off management, back when they were lunch carded.

I dont think anyone at HE is afraid to hear the truth. I think they know it. I cant remember the last time we had one in HE. I am guessing the combination of time and money is why we havent had one lately. We are all actually very honest in our department today. I bring up comments on this post all the time to people in HE as it relates to their areas. Obviously I tell people to overlook the comments that are offensive as there are those comments in every forum that shouldnt taint the overall good comments that really show how associates feel.

How could they have been anonymous when you had to log in with your enterprise ID and password to complete the survey. I was never spoken to about it, but certainly felt the impact.

I stated in the my opinion counts survey that I didnt believe anyone would actually read the survey comments. I included my contact number and asked if anybody read my comments will they please contact me to confirm that they did. I never heard from anyone so I assume my comments were never read by anybody.

@1hur I don't think they were anonymous for the higher ups the reason I know is because I remember some people spoke pretty opened of how they felt and they were put with the store manager in a meeting. That was when I barely started and were facing out the whole annual employee survey.

BS. They were anonymous. I spoke the harsh truth in every single census survey and was never spoken to. For my direct reports I would be provided the answers with what percentage chose each answer. No names provided.

Pointless anyway. It was clearly not "anonymous." We all quickly learned that and weren't honest anyway. Anyone who said anything negative got dragged in for a talk.

@nqm I agreed they probably just did it to make the workers feel like they had a voice, but in reality they didn't do nothing in the end. I remember when I started off man employees would be harsh I remember the store manager made a meeting with certain ones. I mean they are speaking the truth they don't sugar coat the reality.

They never cared even when they did the surveys. It was just a way to make the associates feel like their voice mattered.
