Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Any bets when news will break that intel is breaking up?

Justified as the usual 'unlocking shareholder value', Intel BoD agrees to sell the ICF and related supporting TMG/LTD assets to Apple, with an ongoing technology licensing agreement. The remaining portion of Intel is rebranded and a right turn strategically to focus on supplying fully synthesizable cores and related enabling IP to AWS, Google and Azure for both ASIC but more so focused on FPGA technologies. Platform Organizations only a shell of their previous existence such as iCDG and DCG exist to continue to service the revenue but low growth legacy x86 market.

Remaining portions of Intel are divested or shuttered such as SSG, SMG.

TMG is a boat anchor at the moment, huge capital investment and huge R&D. When volumes were growing and you could sell at outrageous margins because of markups you could be stupid.

These days TSMC is superior by every metric and they have ridden the ARM to scale that they could also manufacture x86. Little reason anyone should go to TMG as they are higher cost, slow and no longer a technology leader.

Funny BK the TMG monkey is leading Intel. As another posted he will preside over intels downfall from leadership and fall form the technology leadership. Nobody would want TMG just like nobody wanted IBMs semiconductor business.

A huge drop and big ACTs are coming

Unlike Intel, Apple isn't run by a bunch of fcking clowns. TSMC is going to blow past TMG.

BK will preside over the greatest destruction of value ever seen in the semi industry. Nobody wants or needs any of Intel's assets.

This could be starting to unfold right before our very eyes. Last year after ACT I predicted this would happen in 2018-2019 timeframe, maybe I was too optimistic. Intel will become a much smaller company in 2 or 3 years, a shadow of its former self.
